'Typhonia' is on show right now in Doddington hall, Lincolnshire.

i wanted to have a tension between forms, so that they are at once tight and arched, but also rounded and soft. similarly the legs are strong and architectural while the cloud of colours gently waves in the breeze. that sense of contrasts is there, too, in the visual language of machine and monster vs playful and glittering.

i guess its essentially a figurative sculpture. the title suggests something monstrous (Typhon was a terrible destructive monster in Greek Myth), but also not quite that, since this is the feminised form of that name.
